Not since the Dookie Days has being a Green Day fan looked so cool! Just absolutely legendary. As a guitarist myself, there have been many of jam sessions where I day dreamed about getting pulled on stage to play with some of my favorite. Even the thought of it has me roller skating in a buffalo heard. Then this guy comes up on stage, plays When I Come Around like he wrote the damn song, and stage dives into the crowd as Basket Case blares in the background. I’m pretty sure as a Green Day fan that’s about as good as it gets.
This brings up an always interesting debate. Continue reading “Green Day Fan Comes Around”
So apparently, after his Hall of Fame induction, Allen Iverson left his Hall of Fame trophy (legit didn’t know that was even a thing) at his hotel as he left town. Hey, people, if you’re shocked by this news, you’ve obviously never heard anything about Allen Iverson. The guy probably thought he would just buy a new trophy wherever it is he was going to as soon as his plane landed. Packing is for suckers, money is forever. Read a book. Hell, Iverson probably throws out the big bucks and buys the trophy at an up marked price at the Airport rather than buying the sensible, reasonably priced replica at Dick’s. When you’re the greatest basketball player to ever to come out of the state of Virginia, you don’t need trophies…they’re about as useful as talking about practice. Keeping trophies is such a Moses Malone move; legends leave shit like that behind.
Since we’re talking about AI, I’d like to take this opportunity to admit one of the more embarrassing blunders in my life. Continue reading “Never Change, Allen Iverson, Never Change”
Let’s talk hoops. Last night’s game was crazy, right? I totally watched and definitely didn’t watch all 3 hours of post-Wrestlemania Monday Night Raw…
…Oh wait. I did do that. Luckily, it ended and I saw the last 11 seconds of the National Title game. That’s just Coach’s luck though. Things go my way.
We also had the complete list of the 2016 Basketball Hall of Fame announced in the last 24 hours, and although I think it’s weird to see the players I grew up watching and rooting for now making it into the Hall, it does provide me the unique opportunity as a shitty blogger to do what I love to do, and rank them. And since they induct everyone from coaches to players to refs, I can totally rank them however I want based on whatever criteria I come up with.
